Mango Street Trio

The Mango Street Trio is a three-piece fusion band from the East Coast of Canada. Members Ivan Garnica (guitar and vocals,) Danika Poirer (drumset and percussion) and Chris Chisholm (electric bass) all met in the School of Performing Arts of Holland College, a Berkeley pathway school. After collaborating in academic and co-curricular ensembles, they decided to use their chemistry as friends and musicians to create their art. Despite their title, the Mango Street sound is far broader than their tropical name suggests. Characterized by rich harmonies, complex rhythms, and catchy melodies; its intelligent songwriting made approachable.
